"We drove about 4 hours to visit Purple Hill and it was worth every second! Rolling fields of purple, buzzing bees, and amazing staff. You can feel the love put into this hand crafted farm and every product they produce. Planted with hope, grown with love, and raised by family, this hidden gem is one of Ontario's best kept secrets."

Frequently Asked Questions

Food & Beverage

Yes. We’re happy to accommodate vegetarian, gluten-free, and/or nut allergy requests for our charcuterie boxes. Unfortunately, we’re unable to offer any other modifications at this time, including vegan options.

Please note that boxes are shared between two guests, so any accommodations apply to the entire box.

Please include your dietary needs in the notes section at checkout or email us at info@purplehilllavender.com at least 14 days prior to your event.
Since each box is shared by two guests, the full box would be made gluten-free.
Absolutely! Our on-site mobile bar will be offering a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. We accept cash, credit, and debit for all on-site purchases.
Yes. If you’d like to bring your own dessert for a special occasion or something a little extra, we do not mind at all. This applies to food only however - no outside alcohol is permitted.
Definitely! You can add extras after you’ve booked, just be sure to do so at least 14 days before your event so we can finalize everything.

Weather & Cancellations

If severe weather is forecasted for your event date, a cancellation decision will be made by 12:00 PM the same day. Please note that we only cancel in cases of truly severe or unsafe conditions. If the forecast shows only a low chance of rain or light showers, we will plan to proceed and hope for a beautiful evening.

As this is a seasonal, outdoor experience, weather is unfortunately beyond our control. With a short bloom window and high demand, we do our best to balance flexibility with creating the best possible experience for guests traveling from near and far. Like an outdoor summer concert, we make the most of it—rain or shine.
If the event proceeds as scheduled, tickets are non-refundable. Light rain alone (without thunderstorms) will not result in a cancellation, and the picnic will continue as planned. However, if changing weather conditions impact safety or the overall experience, we will reassess and issue full refunds if the event must be cancelled.
If an event is cancelled, ticket-holders will be notified by email and given the option to transfer their tickets to an alternate date or receive a refund. Please ensure your contact information is accurate at checkout so we can reach you on the day of the event if needed. We apologize for any inconvenience weather-related cancellations may cause and appreciate your understanding, as guest safety and enjoyment are always our top priorities.
Tickets may be cancelled for a refund up to 14 days prior to your picnic date, minus a 5% cancellation fee. Within 14 days of the event, tickets become non-refundable but may be transferred to a friend. This policy reflects advance food orders, staffing commitments, and the high demand for these limited events, which makes last-minute rebooking difficult. We appreciate your understanding and look forward to hosting you.

Ticketing & Special Requests

Yes! We’re excited to introduce our new proposal package this year ($725), featuring 30 minutes of professional photography, champagne on ice, and a beautiful flower arrangement. After adding this package to your booking, we’ll email you to connect and plan all the special details.
Definitely. For groups of 10 or more, we include a few thoughtful touches at your table as our gift—two bottles of wine (or elevated non-alcoholic beverages) and a small lavender essential oil for each guest. If you’re envisioning something more, we’d love to hear from you and explore what we can create together.
You have the option at check-out to add-on a bottle of champagne, cake (these are seasonal flavours made by our incredible local bakery, YF Patisierre), a 10 minute photography mini session, a gorgeous bouquet of flowers (from the Creemore Flower Company), or a full proposal package!
The farm entrance and boutique will be open from 10:00am - 5:00pm daily from June 22nd to August 9th, 2026.

The store will be OPEN during evening picnics but general admission is not permitted as it is a ticketed event.
More information coming soon.

Property & Accessibility

We do our best to keep the property well maintained, however as a working farm some areas may be uneven. Picnics are hosted low to the ground on cushions, so please keep this in mind when booking for your group. We do have a limited number of full-size picnic tables with benches available upon request. If this would be helpful, please let us know at least 14 days in advance so we can do our best to accommodate.
Unfortunately, we’re unable to accommodate pets at this event. With food set low to the ground, we want to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all guests. Service animals are, of course, welcome, provided they remain leashed and are cleaned up after.
Yes! Bees love lavender and spend their time pollinating our plants to make lovely lavender honey. They’re usually just going about their work and we very rarely see stings, but since it is a farm setting, it’s still possible. If you have an allergy, we recommend bringing your EpiPen just to be safe.
